So I only listened to that simpleton Justin Meyers for about 30 minutes today.  Obviously it was 30 of the most annoying minutes of my life… seriously.  Let’s openly discuss his ineptitudes.  If you listened longer than I did, fill me in on how much more dumb conversation got.  If you missed his mindless banter, just help us bash him anyway.

“Idol”:

re: Favre - Derek Jeter is the only person in any sport that is MVP caliber and universally loved, on the level that Brett Favre was.  Meyers made a point to state that it couldn’t be Kobe, whom “Idol” thinks hands down is better than LeBron (because LeBron is too young, and he apparently has some other things that are holding him back according to “Idol”), but Kobe is too hated to be on Favre’s level.  Who else did he shoot down?

Stop listening to the guy. Period. He knows very little about sports. He chooses to go on rants that have nothing to do with sports. His only “claim to fame” is that he went to the same high school as Polamalu, and he claims to be buddies with the guy. You’d think this area could get a legit local sports show, but no, not a chance. Somebody should put the two of us on the air and see what happens! Haha.

You mean stop listening to in-depth analysis on the gatorade the U of O football team has in the locker room? I actually stopped listening a couple weeks ago when he went on a rant, and felt free to spend an hour listing his top 20 rock bands of all time. He then spent a half an hour summarizing his decisions.

I seriously think he shows up to work 15 minutes before air with no material, but has a handy computer so he can at least get on ESPN.com and read the box score of the last Oregon game. After 30 minutes of that, he’ll take a couple phone calls from intelligent people like LT (who actually make him sound smart). Hour one complete.

Hour two is already planned. This is where he takes material from the Dan Patrick show he listened to earlier in the day, and calls it his own. He may fall 5-10 minutes short every now and then, so he’ll throw in a little Atlanta Brave and/or Pittsburgh Steeler talk. Hour two complete

Hour three always seems to be trouble for him. I honestly feel this is where the TV comes into play. He mentions ESPN is also on TV while his show is on. I really think he hopes that something happens within those two hours so he has something relevant to talk about. If not, then no need to fear, he’ll spend that 3-4 minute break he has after the second hour to devise an argument. I think that no matter how dumb the argument is, the idol believes that if he says it’s relevant, people will believe him. Unfortunately, many do. Like the first comment explains, these arguments are one-sided and incorrect. I honestly think it’s more laziness than not knowing anything. I believe he thinks of the first big name that comes to his mind, and says yes, he’s the best quarterback of all-time, best running back, etc. He then back pedals his way into a defense of the argument, no matter how strong the defense is. When he loses he either says, “there’s really no right or wrong choice, but it’s my choice” or “You can argue either way”. He needs to shut up and realize that there might not always be a right choice, but there’s always a wrong choice, and he picks the wrong choice more than he doesn’t, and the defense makes him sound at times like moron. And now he’s lost a of respect from listeners (now former listeners). Show Ends

The only thing I respect about the idol, is that he doesn’t candy coat bad Oregon performances. I think Jerry Allen is too positive, and needs to be critical at times when he isn’t. Meyers at least isn’t afraid to criticize,. Unfortunately, many times he criticizes things that shouldn’t be criticized.

Ha ha, have any of you guys listened to that new Justin Meyers commercial about getting your vasectomy before the NCAA tournament. What a joke, sooner or later he’ll be advertising viagra with his boy T-bone.
Oh yeah, I would like to congratulate fatty, I mean Sports Idol, for losing 50 pounds. Will see if the staples last. Maybe he should call Al Roker to get tips. If it doesn’t work, you can always go on weight watchers again.
War-Sports Idol for having Kanye West’s stronger as his opening music. I am no longer a fan of Kanye West. Thanks Gayboy.
